    60 Minute Intro Flight $150.00

Begin you flying experience with our
    60-Minute introductory lesson.

This lesson includes 30 minutes of dual flight instruction in our R22, with an instructor who has logged numerous hours of teaching helicopter flight training. You will begin your flight with a detailed tour and lesson of the different parts of the helicopter and their function. You will then take the controls and experience several maneuvers that you will become proficient in at our school. In addition to your first lesson, you will be given 30 minutes of dual instruction in our state of the art “Fly It” simulator. If you decide to continue your flight training, we will include this flight time in you flight logbook.

Michael Bisek has been a certified flight instructor since 1984 and served as an FAA Designated Pilot Examiner since 1996. If he is testing students at other flight schools in the area, than what better training could you receive? Our pilots are not only experienced pilots, their passion is teaching and have logged hundreds of hours perfecting this art. Having an experienced instructor will have the skills to teach in less number of hours which will cost less for the student.

All flight instruction is accomplished on a one-on-one basis and you may schedule helicopter flight or ground lessons during your spare time since the schedule is arranged to suit your needs. All pilot training is scheduled by appointment at almost any time or day of the week.

Flight and ground hours are based on the minimum requirements of the FAA. The actual cost of training will depend on the frequency of flight training, the student’s aptitude and diligence, and the successful completion of the required tests. The hours specified in this catalog fulfill the minimum FAA requirements, however, it should be noted that few people are able to learn to fly the helicopter well enough to meet FAA standards in the minimum times listed and it should not be considered unusual if they are exceeded. Good study habits, personal discipline and aptitude are all necessary ingredients for successful completion of this course in the minimum time.

COURSE TITLE – PRIVATE PILOT ROTORCRAFT HELICOPTER

    PRIVATE HELICOPTER PILOT BACKGROUND:
This course is designed for the person with little or no background in aviation. It includes the most important training a pilot will receive as it forms the basis for all additional courses. Quality training with a well-qualified instructor at this point is a must. This course is designed as the first step for those who wish to go on to become a professional pilot, or as a complete course for those who will fly their own helicopter privately. The private pilot certificate is much like your automobile drivers license, enabling you to use the helicopter for personal pleasure or business.

The ground-training curriculum allows flexible use of self-study as well as classroom and private tutoring techniques by the instructor to achieve the completion standards. The flight-training course advances the student logically from basic maneuvers to more advanced procedures. The student will develop the skills and judgment to safely fly the helicopter as a private pilot Accelerated course time should take 12-16 weeks.

PRIVATE PILOT FAA REQUIREMENTS:  An applicant for a private pilot helicopter certificate must: be at least 17 years old, read, speak, write, and understand the English language, hold at least a third class medical certificate and per FAR Part 141 must have at least 35 hours of flight training and 35 hours of ground instruction and pass an FAA private pilot knowledge exam and flight test.
